Norwegian wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland has been on fire domestically and in Europe so far this season, and a move to the Etihad Stadium could be on the cards.
The 19-year-old has been in sensational form so far this season, scoring 18 goals in 11 games – including four in the Champions League.
His performances on the big stage are now making the big boys take note, and amongst a flurry of other clubs, Manchester City are one of the leading parties interested, according to the Daily Mail.
Haaland kicked off his rise to stardom by netting a sublime hat-trick in the opening group game against Genk, capping off a 6-2 victory for his side.
The forward followed that up by scoring on the biggest stage of his career so far – a European night at Anfield – where he scored a brief equaliser before Liverpool edged in front once more to make it 4-3.
Son of former City player Alf-Inge Haaland, the Daily Mail also suggests that the teenager has also attracted the interest of Barcelona, Real Madrid and City’s cross-town rivals Manchester United.
The report also claims that if Haaland were to leave Salzburg, it wouldn’t be until next summer, with the Austrian champions keen to tie him down for the full season at least – with his current contract running until 2023.
The Norway international clearly has a bright future, and it’s only a matter of time until offers come flying on the table judging by the explosive start to his career, which could leave many teams looking to win the race for his signature.
