Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping they finally land their long term target this summer after the Daily Mail revealed that Manuel Pellegrini is determined to bring in his former player Isco from Real Madrid.
The City boss coached the Spanish midfielder during his time in charge of Malaga, where they took the Champions League by surprise.
And with Madrid currently without a manager, Isco’s future is currently in doubt and he could choose to join up with his former boss, where he knows that his future is secure.
The 23-year-old was Carlo Ancelotti’s first signing for €30m and has played 53 times for the Champions League holders as well as three appearances for Spain.
Although he may struggle to fit in with the amount of attacking midfielders already at City and punters believe he may only agree to join the Etihad, if he is assured that some players would be sold in his position.
