Manchester City have one of the most talented squads in Europe at the moment, and manager Pep Guardiola has all the tools at his disposal to go out and win more trophies.

The likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, and David Silva would walk in any team in the world, and City fans must still pinch themselves when they look at the quality what has walked through the doors of the Etihad in the last couple of seasons.

However, for every Silva or Aguero, there is a flop, a flop which might well have cost a fortune in terms of money.

One such player who falls into this category is defender Eliaquim Mangala, who has simply just not done it since sealing a move worth in excess of £30m a few seasons ago.

Mangala is now well down the pecking order for City under Guardiola, as the likes of John Stones, Vinny Kompany and Aymeric Laporte continue to make the centre half positions their own.

The big Frenchman has spent time away from the club in the last few seasons anyway, with a successful spell at Valencia showing that Mangala does have the talent to be able to succeed at the top level.

However, that top level does not seem to be with City, and Mangala might well find himself on his way come January, as City look to recoup some of the money they splashed on the 27-year-old.

City fans, what do you think? Would you sell Mangala? Let us know in the comments!
