Adding to the Manchester City squad this summer will be a tough task for manager Pep Guardiola, with the Spaniard knowing it will take players of real quality to improve his title winning team.

The Citizens will be keen to keep improving though, and the fans here in the Tavern have been keeping a close eye on proceedings over in Russia this summer, casting a keen eye over any potential new signings for the club.

Our landlord has been doing the same, and he's been keeping a look out for the players who might not cost the big bucks, and he thinks he's identified a member of the Brazilian squad who would fit in at City.

That man is experienced attacking midfielder Taison, who despite not being a starter for Brazil, has played his part, as well as impressing in Ukraine for Shakhtar for a number of years now.

Valued at £9.9m by Transfermarkt, the 30-year-old would be an excellent addition to what is already a brilliant attacking line up at the Etihad, and he would no doubt have little problem playing as part of a rotation system at City given his role with Brazil.

Taison is a quality operator, and despite only one goal last season, he did bag a hatful of assists, and in his five years in Ukraine, he has become known as one of the biggest creative forces in the league.

An excellent dribbler, good finisher, and plenty of experience, Taison would slot in very nicely for Pep's men at the Etihad.

City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
