With Manchester City winning the league so comfortably this season, a lot of the questions over the summer will be about who the club can even consider signing that is going to improve their club and first team.
A squad full of internationals and world class talent is not easy to improve, and our landlord thinks only a select few players will be able to actually come into the City set up and have a big impact.
However, our landlord does think those players exist, and he thinks Spurs man Dele Alli fits into this mould perfectly as someone City could look to snap up.
The England man has not quite lived up to his high standards this term but is still developing as a player, and has perhaps come in for some harsher than warranted criticism from certain sections of the footballing world this term.
Despite this, Alli remains a top player and one of the finest young footballers in the world. He seems to have been around for longer than many think, and still has years to develop and improve under Pep Guardiola, something we have seen with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kyle Walker already.
A class act and with all the ingredients to become one of the world’s best, if City could indeed pull off the signing of Alli, it would send an almighty message to the rest of the Premier League that they are here for the long haul in terms of winning titles.
City fans, what do you think? Would you take Alli? Let us know!
