Manchester City fans look intrigued here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro have made a rather pleasing claim.
The publication report that Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that one of his star men, Sergio Aguero will not be going anywhere – at least for now.
The Chilean manager was forced to come out and deny claims that Aguero could well be departing, with a host of clubs keen on landing the Argentine forward’s signature.
Not only are Real Madrid keen on the player but some top sides from Serie A and La Liga giants Barcelona are also keen.
Pellegrini was asked if the Argentine will remain at the club and noted: “[My response] is exactly the same as what I respond to all the other links during the whole year,’ he said.
“You cannot talk every week about players that are coming here and the players going out.
“Aguero is a Manchester City player, he is very happy here and the club is very happy with him.”
As our punters note, the former Atletico Madrid forward is only 25-years-old and has his best years ahead of him – which obviously means he may move to another club in the future.
Links with the likes of Real Madrid are going to persist for a player who has managed to net a massive 25 goals this term despite suffering from injuries and we think that City will face a fight to keep him for the rest of his career.
Would you stay at City if you were Aguero or would you jump ship to La Liga? Let us know your thoughts below.
