This is after the Daily Mail wrote that Samir Nasri has confessed he could leave the club next summer as he expects new faces to arrive at the Etihad Stadium.
The Frenchman has said that he will call time on his City career if Manuel Pellegrini decides he does not want him and it is expected that the Chilean manager will look for reinforcements next summer after a slower than anticipated start to the 2014/15 season.
Last month Nasri voiced concerns over his future prior to their dramatic 3-2 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, admitting that he wouldn’t be shocked if players departed after their bumbling start to the season.
He said: “I do not know if I will leave the club. If they come to me and they tell me to pack my bags, I will leave.”
Nasri added: “If we play our game, we will win against Roma. The greatest risk is to play with pressure and to have this apprehension.
“If we don’t ask questions, and we play our game, then we will do it. We have more qualities.
“If we are eliminated from the Champions League, this is not the fault of the coach, it is the players who are on the pitch.”
