According to the Daily Mail, Joe Hart has entered talks with Manchester City as they look to agree an extension to his current deal which ends in 2016.
The England international has been on fine form this season and he will hope the new contract will cement his spot as City’s number one choice for years to come.
Punters in the tavern had feared that the 27-year-old may well have lost his starting place in the team when Manuel Pellegrini brought in Willy Caballero from Malaga as competition.
And when Hart’s formed dipped last season, he was dropped for two months by his manager giving then number two Costel Pantilimon a healthy run in the first team.
However, Hart showed great character and fought his way back in to the starting line-up towards the latter stages of the season helping City win the Premier League title.
Many of our regulars believe that after getting over last season’s bad form, the former Shrewsbury Town stopper will go on to grow into a formidable shot stopper.
