Manchester City star speaks about potential transfer exit

Option 1 - Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra Manchester City winger Jesus Navas has played down reports that he is keen on a move back to Spain following two underwhelming years in the Premier League.

Navas has not overly endeared himself to the Manchester City faithful since arriving from Sevilla in 2013 and it is safe to say that the City fans in the corner of the Transfer Tavern have not been overly impressed with the Spanish international.

City left it late to beat Sevilla 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening and it was a winning goal from Kevin de Bruyne who sealed the three points. Ironically it is de Bruyne who has been keeping Navas out of the City starting line up since joining from Wolfsburg in the summer.

Reported by talkSport, Navas said:

“It’s special, the affection [with Sevilla] is mutual and everybody knows this is a special match for me, but I’m only thinking about City.”

Navas, 29, has played 93 times for the club scoring seven goals since he moved to the Etihad from Sevilla in 2013 for£15 million.
