So Manchester City attacker Samir Nasri may be controversially left out of France’s World Cup squad but according to The Guardian, it seems things may not be too bad for him after all.
The creative star is set to be offered a new five-year deal at the home of the Premier League champions and we can bet that the money on offer for Nasri is not too shabby.
Since him move from perennial fourth-placed side Arsenal, Nasri has actually won trophies of note and increased his wage packet to boot, so we think that he will have no hesitation in putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Citizens.
Not only are the club willing to offer Nasri a new deal but they also want to get the likes of Joe Hart and Edin Dzeko on improved contracts in order to keep them happy at the club – something we think is more than deserved.
In news that some punters think is slightly unfair, the club are also considering running down the contract of James Milner, meaning the England star will have to wait for his move until this time next season – but he will be able to leave on a free.
Manchester City fans. Do you think offering all these improved contracts out is a good idea or will complacency creep in? Let us know your thoughts below.
