Manchester City star wanted to replace injured first team ace

But one thing that never stops is transfer rumours in domestic football, so here goes!

Italian giants Juventus are plotting a raid on Manchester City for their Serbian youngster Matija Nastasic, according to talkSPORT.

The news comes after experienced Italian international Andrea Barzagli was ruled out of the first few months of the season due to an Achilles tendon injury.

The Old Lady therefore need cover in his position and have approached the Citizens to take the 21-year old on a season-long loan.

It is believed that the Turin club want an option to make it permanent if the season-long loan goes well for both Juventus and Nastasic.

Manchester City may choose to take up the loan option for the Serbian as he struggled with injury last term.

He featured prominently during his first season in England following a switch from Serie A club Fiorentina.

But injuries hampered his second season at the Etihad Stadium, managing only 11 appearances while Martin Demichelis stepped up as Vincent Kompany’s regular central defensive partner.

However, Juventus may find they lose out to rivals Roma with Manuel Pellegrini keen on using Nastasic as makeweight in any bid for their Moroccan international Mehdi Benatia.

Manchester City fans. Does it make sense to let the youngster go out on loan next season or should he be first choice at your club? Let us know your thoughts below.
