There are worried looks on the faces of Manchester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern and it is all down to the Daily Mail.
The publication have claimed that Yaya Toure is becoming a problem for the Citizens.
His repeated links with other clubs, not to mention what is now being viewed as shameless attempts to get himself a better deal with more money per week, are not going down well.
After giving an interview to a French station claiming that he would be honoured to move to Paris Saint-Germain, and admitting that he would love to play for Barcelona again, the 31-year-old seemed to be pushing for the exit door.
However, according to the Mail, this is a tried and tested tactic by his agent in order to get his client what he feels is a deserved pay rise after scoring 20 Premier League goals and becoming the first midfielder since Chelsea’s Frank Lampard to do so.
Currently on around £210,000 per week, it is hardly like Toure is cutting out discount coupons for the local Tescos, but he still wants more money!
Do you think City should cave to his demands and offer the player what he thinks he is worth? Let us know your thoughts below.
