Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern aren’t too happy with the news in talkSPORT that Edin Dzeko will only leave the Etihad Stadium for a big club like Juventus.
His agent, Irfan Radzipegic, revealed the news with his client enduring a frustrating season, starting just six matches in the Premier League.
His future has also been thrust into doubt following the January signing of Wilfried Bony from Swansea City for a reported fee of £28 million.
Due to Dzeko’s lack of first team football, the 28-year-old’s situation has sparked rumours that he will leave Manchester next summer.
He will undoubtedly attract attention from several clubs and Turkish side Fenerbahce have been heavily linked with the Bosnian international.
Radzipegic, his agent, says that his client will only depart the Citizens if a so-called ‘big club’ comes in for him.
“We haven’t received any offer from Fenerbahce,” said Radzipegic.
“Last year Roberto Mancini’s Galatasaray asked for him [Dzeko] on loan, but nothing came of it.
“Dzeko is 28-years-old and wants to play for the most prestigious teams in Europe. If he were to leave Manchester City he’d prefer a big club like Juventus or Atletico Madrid.”
