There is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by the Metro that Manchester City could well be targeting Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer – but they face an almighty battle to prise him out of Paris.
The forward who lets face it possesses more than a little bit of self confidence has found himself on the radar of Roberto Mancini who is looking for at least one star forward this summer after the departure of Mario Balotelli to AC Milan and the uncertainty surrounding not only surrounding Carlos Tevez but also Edin Dzeko as the summer approaches.
Now current club team-mate Thiago Silva has claimed that Ibra should remain with Paris Saint-Germain noting that: “I hope Zlatan will stay at PSG. He can help the team and the club grow. I really want him to stay put.
“I have not yet had the opportunity to talk to him about whether he has already made a decision on his future.
“He’s a normal guy who always wants to win. He gets angry when things don’t go well. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes it isn’t. I see him as a positive guy, though, who gives strength to the team.”
