Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are not sure who to believe heading into the summer after the Daily Mirror revealed they are to launch a bid in excess of £50million for Juventus star Paul Pogba.
The French international is perceived as one of the most exciting players in world football and City will have to compete with rival clubs such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
So if they have any chance of landing him they will have to pay well over £50m, but they will hope they can raise enough funds by selling their big name stars in the summer , with Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic set to depart the club.
But punters in the Tavern are not convinced that Pogba will end up at the Etihad next season as the club currently has no direction, with people questioning Manuel Pellegrini’s future.
Manchester City fans here inside the Tavern believe the 22-year-old midfielder is a long term replacement for Toure as they look rebuild the squad.
