Manchester City to benefit from Real Madrid’s James signing?

Isco Manchester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up excitedly after the Daily Mail have linked them with a potential move for Isco.

The Real Madrid star looks set to be deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu after the recent arrivals of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, with both adding to the wage bill and indeed squad size.

As one of our punters notes, Manuel Pellegrini knows Isco well, getting arguably the best football of the playmaker’s career out of him during their time at Malaga together.

We now think a reunion at the Etihad Stadium could be on the cards.

City will be without Alvaro Negredo for up to four months and it seems that instead of getting another out and out striker, Pellegrini seems keen to bring in a creative playmaker instead.

Real Madrid may be a wealthy club, but even they need to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and are considering offloading a few current squad members in order to do so.

Manchester City fans. Do you think that a swoop for Isco is a good idea or do you need another out and out forward? Let us know your thoughts below.
