But according to The Independent that could soon change as Manchester City are reportedly looking into the availability of Real Madrid star Isco.
The news comes after the La Liga giants signed Colombian World Cup star James Rodriguez from Monaco.
A £63 million move for the attacking midfielder was confirmed on Tuesday but it has left uncertainty hanging over Isco.
The former Malaga midfielder, who took the place of Mesut Ozil at the Bernabeu, may now find it difficult to find regular first team football.
He scored eight goals in 32 games in Spain last season, no mean feat, and it has attracted the gaze of Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini managed Isco when the Chilean was manager of Malaga and it seems that the pair could be reunited.
Any proposed deal for Isco would be difficult though as the Citizens would have to deal with the UEFA-imposed transfer cap.
But the quality of Isco could mean it is worth the extra legwork for the Premier League champions.
City have already brought in Bruno Zuculini, Fernando, Bacary Sagna and Willy Caballero so far this summer.
