The Manchester City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports regarding the future of up to six of their current first team squad.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the players who have doubts about whether or not they will figure under new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola have been told by Txiki Begiristain that they will have to wait until the end of the season for a decision.
The decision effects the likes Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna, Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Willy Caballero. Despite the six players having a wealth of experience, there are a raft of rumours which suggest they could all move on from the Etihad.
With the club reaching the Champions League Semi-Final and their qualification for next season’s competition still not confirmed, it has forced the City sporting director to delay talks with the named players.
The City fans in The Tavern are not overly concerned about the reports and agree with Begiristain’s stance on when talks begin and hope the named players keep their heads down and get on with the job at hand.
