Manchester City want to sign Spanish World Cup winner, £35M bid expected this summer

PedrodManchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ready to snare Pedro away from Premier League rivals Chelsea and will pay £35 million to secure a deal this summer, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, via Twitter.

The journalist has reported the news this morning and the move would see Pedro reunited with his long-term coach at Barcelona, where the pair enjoyed great success.

The Spanish right midfielder made 29 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season and netted seven goals, but new Blues boss Antonio Conte might look to move the player along to make room for his own additions.

Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are not best pleased by this news, with many stating that the Blues should not be helping out their rivals for the coming season.

One Manchester City fan is sat enjoying the sun in the Tavern’s beer garden and he thinks City could do a lot worse than Pedro, stating that the player could shine under Guardiola next season.

Manchester City fans, would you welcome Pedro at the club? Where would he fit into your team?
