The Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been happy to see new boss Pep Guardiola active in the transfer market in recent weeks, with high hopes ahead of the new season.
The Spanish boss has not finished assembling his squad just yet and more players are expected to arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the coming weeks.
Our landlord has spotted an article in the Manchester Evening News which claims that City have been warned that they have not yet secured the services of Schalke winger Leroy Sane.
The German player’s father – who is also his agent – has warned City that European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both still keen on signing the player also.
This news has made the City fans over by the pool table anxious and they are hopeful that a deal can still be made, with the club still firmly in pole position to sign the 20-year-old starlet.
Manchester City fans, would you welcome Sane? Can the club compete with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for his services?
