Manchester City will be desperate to pick up where they left off after the international break as they secured a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United last time out.
The Citizens are in a promising position to kick on and secure the Premier League title once again, with their unbeaten record still intact. Although, they’ll have to splash the cash if they want to sign a target in the summer, as according to the Daily Star, Manchester City will be quoted £68 million if they come knocking for Julian Weigl.
Pep Guardiola has been told to dig deep into his pockets if he wants to sign Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weigl.
Indeed, the German club desperately want to keep Weigl, and when Manchester City come knocking on their door in the January window they’ll be quoted a £68 million price tag.
Although, this may not faze the Manchester City boss as he continues to look at suitable replacements for Fernandinho in the middle of midfield.
Manchester City will be desperate to secure a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, and Julian Weigl appears to be the right man for the job. Indeed, the 23-year-old has established himself as one of the rising midfield stars in world football and would fit right in at the Etihad.
However, the defending Premier League champions will need to pay a hefty price to bring him to the Etihad, which could be the deciding factor on whether they pursue the midfielder.
