Manchester City fans have one raised eyebrow here in the Football Transfer Tavern – rather like Carlo Ancelotti – after the Daily Mirror‘s latest claim about Isco.
The publication seem to be under the impression that the Real Madrid attacking midfielder is not a target for Manuel Pellegrini despite the former Malaga man’s appreciation for the creative star.
It seems that despite losing Alvaro Negredo to a broken foot, the summer spending at the Etihad Stadium will be coming to a close once FC Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala has been unveiled.
Now we think that is a pretty smart move, with a central defender badly required to shore up the Citizens’ back four ahead of a title defence – and really, in terms of going forward, the club already have more than they need.
Isco meanwhile is slightly in the wilderness at Real Madrid and it is fair to say that the Spanish star’s future is in the balance after the arrival of James Rodriguez from Monaco and the board’s need to raise money to balance the books.
City fans. Do you think Isco could add something to your side or is he simply too similar to what you already have going forward? Let us know your thoughts below.
