Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were given an absolute thrashing by Everton at Goodison Park this weekend and their supporters here in the Transfer Tavern didn’t like it one bit!
The Citizens were absolutely outplayed by the Toffees throughout the game, which eventually finished 4-0, and it showed that there is plenty to work on at City under manager Pep Guardiola.
But before the game, news began to circulate that City are interested in bringing Spurs full-back Ben Davies to the club, which seems completely natural with their options in that area getting no younger.
Davies has impressed when given the opportunity at White Hart Lane and there are plenty of Spurs fans in the Tavern who believe he should be given a lot more game-time than he currently receives.
But with Danny Rose in the first-team, it’s never going to be easy for the Swansea City man to really force his way into manager Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term plans.
