Having just recovered from the admittance that Robinho and Alexandre Pato are set to depart AC Milan imminently, Gazzetta Dello Sport contains a fascinating interview with club captain Massimo Ambrosini who talks not only about Didier Drogba but also the possibility of Mario Balotelli joining the Serie A giants.
In England, it is regarded as dangerous ground to discuss another club’s player but functioning as a standard procedure on the continent, the Rossoneri club skipper discloses more than a few juicy bits throughout the course of the interview.
On the topic of the heavily linked Ivorian hitman, Ambrosini claimed that: “I’ve always liked him a lot, he is a professional and professionals are useful and welcome here. His charisma, strength and personality.” Of course with Drogba’s skill it comes as no surprise that Juventus are also heavily linked to the striker.
When it comes to Balotelli however, the club legend is less complementary, claiming not only that current striker Stephan El Shaarawy is a better player but also that: “innate talent alone is not enough” to play for a club like AC Milan. Ambrosini claims that attitude is more important and alluded to the fact the 22-year-old may not have it.
That being said of course, in a move that would have Manchester City fans reaching for the champagne instead of the beer, Mario Balotelli could well be on his way to link up with the club after it was yet again rumoured that the player could be on the verge of a loan move.
