Manchester City will be looking to strengthen their side again this summer as they look to go one better and win the Champions League, and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited with the latest reports about one man.
And that’s because Arab News are reporting that the Citizens are interested in Ajax wonderkid Justin Kluivert, as Citizens boss Pep Guardiola eyes further attacking additions to take his side even further next season.
The teenager has refused to sign a new deal at the Eredivisie outfit, which has seemingly alerted a number of Europe’s top clubs, with the Premier League champions reportedly expected to lead the race.
The 19-year-old wonderkid has scored ten goals this season, having broken into the first-team last year, but with his refusal to sign a new contract, the club are set to try and get as much as they can for him come the close season.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Manchester City fans in the Tavern will be excited with the prospect of Kluivert joining them, although it is not like they are short of attacking depth, especially in terms of age.
The squad already boasts the likes of Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, whilst Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus are prolific when it comes to being in front of goal.
Should the 19-year-old decide to go to the Etihad Stadium, he could find it difficult to make an immediate impact with limited appearances, but he would be sure to be developed into a world-class player under the guidance of Guardiola.
