Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are gearing up for what they believe is one of their most important games of the season, as Pep Guardiola looks for success in his first campaign in England.
The Citizens clash with Arsenal on Sunday at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals, with the two English giants battling it out for a spot in next month’s showcase final at the home of English football – and it’s a difficult match to call.
Arsenal have certainly been off the pace in recent months but remain a strong side on their day, whilst City’s defence has looked leaky throughout the campaign and could be exposed on Sunday afternoon.
However, The Daily Star has handed City a huge boost as they claim Gabriel Jesus has returned from injury quicker than expected and could feature this weekend – which would significantly improve City’s attack.
The Brazilian star was expected to miss the remainder of the season when he broke his foot in February but the Rio 2016 gold medalist has returned quicker than expected, which will also give City a boost in the race for a top-four finish.
Our landlord believes he won’t be risked this weekend, as Jesus only returned to training this week, but he’s looking forward to seeing him in action again shortly.
The Arsenal fans are understandably, very unhappy at this news, and fear Gabriel Jesus would cause the Arsenal backline some serious damage.
