Big money transfer breakthrough for Man City – Report

Our resident, Manchester City supporters, are delighted with the latest transfer news.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Citizens have agreed on a £50m deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred, who reportedly impressed the Premier League champions-elect during their Champions League meeting earlier this season. Pep Guardiola’s team had reportedly tried to sign the midfielder during the January transfer window, yet their efforts were to no avail.

However, it seems that City have made the all-important breakthrough in negotiations and the 24-year-old will become a blue in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Ukrainian club were unwilling to allow the player to leave in January, as they’re still fighting in the UEFA Champions League.

Former Arsenal midfielder, Gilberto Silva, is one of Fred’s representatives and it has previously been reported that he had a part to play in securing the transfer, making him the toast of our resident Citizens’ celebrations right now. As you can imagine, they’re excited for some more talented players to arrive soon and further compliment their stunning squad.

Landlord’s verdict

The 24-year-old is undeniably a very gifted player, and he’s also exceedingly well-rounded. As a defensive midfielder, Fred demonstrates superb tackling ability, alongside impressive passing and long shots. He’s a magnificent addition to City.
