Everton should gamble on this 29-year-old in an attempt to step up a level

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going in the summer window in terms of transfers as they are expecting some exciting moves.

The Toffees are surely the best placed side in the league to try and break into the top six next season but that is surely easier said than done with those clubs certainly set to spend big in this window.

Everton, then, need to go for it, too, but will also need to box clever and perhaps take a few risks if they are going to steal a march on the sides above them.

And so, with that in mind, we reckon that it could be worth the Toffees taking a gamble on Samir Nasri of Manchester City.

Indeed, The Sun is saying that Man City can’t get rid of Nasri at the moment and that would surely mean that they are open to accepting an offer for a pretty small amount.

In this modern age, then, that surely can’t be sniffed at and, though he’s fallen out of favour at City, Nasri still has considerable talent that can be utilised.

Indeed, he played over 30 games for Sevilla last season as they flirted with a title challenge and he definitely has that innate ability to do something magical in a tight match.

For sure, Everton need a few more match-winners in their squad to break into the top six and if Ronald Koeman thinks he can get a tune out of him, it’s certainly worth a punt.
