As if Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern couldn’t be more excited about this summer and the coming season already, news from Spain today has got them bouncing around the bar with our staff desperately trying to control them.
According to Spanish website, El Confidencial, incoming Man City boss, Pep Guardiola is set to continue his trend of bringing players from former clubs to his new home as he looks to nab Bayern Munich ace Thiago Alcantara.
The gifted midfielder made his debut with the Blaugrana under his stewardship, later following him to the Allianz Arena.
Now, the 25-year-old appears to be ready to follow him once again, this time to the Premier League.
The Spanish international made two appearances for his national side at the Euros in France this summer before his side crashed out in the Round of 16, against an impressive Italian side.
City fans, what do you think? How much can Thiago bring to your midfield? Is it worth Guardiola continuing the trend or are there better options out there? Let us know below…
