Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are muttering in disapproval over the latest reports they’ve read, which suggest there’s no way back for an axed member of their side.
ESPN report that Joe Hart, on-loan at Italian outfit Torino, believes he has played his last game for Manchester City and reportedly expects to be sold when his season with the Italian side comes to a close this summer.
Hart was ruthlessly axed by Pep Guardiola this summer but replacement goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has been heavily criticised for his poor performances, which include conceding all four shots he faced at the weekend against Everton.
Despite that, 29-year-old Hart doesn’t seem to think he has a future with the Citizens and expects to have to find a new club at the end of the current campaign- but there is likely to be a huge amount of potential suitors for the England international.
Torino are thought to be keen to sign Hart on a permanent basis but lack the funds to finance a deal, although his performances in Turin will have caught the attentions of a number of Premier League sides and others in Europe.
Our landlord is keen for Hart to remain on the continent, as he believes there isn’t enough British talent earning experience outside of the Premier League.
