Guardiola ready to take hit on Man City outcast

It has been hard to stop the Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern waxing poetic about Pep Guardiola, such is the fine nature of his start to life in England.

While there is clearly so much left to play for in the Premier League, the Spanish coach is going some way into answering his critics by making an unbeaten start to life in England.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona coach has made strides on the pitch, while he also constructed a monumental rebuild off it.

With Joe Hart seemingly axed, the Daily Record claim the 45-year-old is ready to ship another big name out of the Etihad Stadium.

He has reportedly instructed the club to subsidize the huge wages of a certain Eliaquim Mangala in order to get him out of the club.

For the City slickers propping up the bar, the Frenchman has proved a huge source of frustration since moving to the club for huge money in 2014.

Tottenham Hotspur and former club Porto are understood to have made loan offers for the 25-year-old, with the Les Blues international said to be facing the notion of being left out of Guardiola’s squad altogether.

The Manchester giants are believed to be ready to take the financial hit, following the arrival of John Stones to the club.

Mangala is yet to be included in a matchday squad under Guardiola and could be braced for a late exit.
