It’s the move all Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern and I can tell you for one, they’re seriously happy about this one!
The Citizens have finally wrapped up a move for Everton defender John Stones, with the move being confirmed by City’s website this morning.
The England international has signed a six-year deal at the Etihad, which will see him stay in Manchester until at least 2022.
Stones becomes City’s eighth summer addition, joining the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aleksandar Zinchenko, Aaron Mooy, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, Marlos Moreno in making the move to the Blue side of Manchester.
The 22-year old is seen as one of the world’s most promising centre-backs, and has been linked with the likes of Barcelona this summer before signing for City today.
He’s known for his ability to keep the ball and his strong reading of the game, though has a lot to prove after a series of mistakes last season.
So then City fans, are you finally happy to have wrapped up this deal? Is it a game-changer? Let us know in the comments below!
