Guardiola’s Man City leading Liverpool and Spurs in attempts to seal £10m playmaker coup

Ante Coric

With Euro 2016 in the way, the punters in the Transfer Tavern are still eagerly waiting to see what sort of impact Pep Guardiola will have at Manchester City.

Having such a blockbuster name arriving at an already pretty blockbuster club, it’ll be fascinating to see what sort of lure the Spaniard has at the Etihad Stadium.

While largely that will be adjudged on what he achieves on the pitch, reports in the Daily Mail suggest the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach is already having quite the impact off it.

They suggest that he is leading Premier League rivals Liverpool and Spurs in the race to land £10m Croatian playmaker Ante Coric, currently on duty with his national side at Euro 2016.

Though current club Dinamo Zagreb are reportedly looking for around £10m, the Sky Blues are currently only willing to offer £6m for the 19-year old, but the report still claims City lead the way.

Guardiola has already added Ilkay Gundogan to his ranks, and is believed to be closing in on a move for Nolito.

Will Guardiola win the league in his first year at City?
