It has been only a week since the transfer window has closed, but for Manchester City, it is time to plan. According to reports emerging from Barcelona, Pep Guardiola is ready to swap Thierry Henry for one of his favorite players, Robinho. It is understood that some of the most influential people of Manchester City FC are not satisfied with the performance that the Brazilian striker has put up, since his arrival in 2008.
Since the takeover of the Manchester City FC by its billionaire owner, it has witnessed some of the biggest signings and the return of Thierry Henry cannot be ruled out. City failed to sign the French front man during last year’s transfer season, as it was believed that neither Henry nor the club was interested. Though Henry has made it very clear that he wants to finish his career at Nou Camp, Barcelona coach may well have different ideas, as he would be able to get one his favorite players back to Spain in place of an ageing Henry.
As we have seen in the past few months, when a big player is in the transfer market, it is either Spanish Giants, Real Madrid FC or Manchester City FC, who grab them before any other can even come close. However, there are many changes that may happen in the next 4 months; the transfer of Henry may well be on its course.
