Pep Guardiola sensationally planning Man City revolution with eight new recruits

The Manchester City fans who’ve been given the heavenly reprieve of finishing work early and popping into the Transfer Tavern on their way home have seen their days get even better following the latest reports emanating from ESPN.

With Pep Guardiola set to take the reins at the Etihad this summer, major changes to the squad that has frustrated these lot this term were always expected.

However, the latest report suggests the current Bayern Munich coach is hopeful of EIGHT new signings to join him when he begins his new job at the start of July.

Central defenders John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are the two most strongly liked with making moves, despite the latter’s ankle break.

England international Stones was heavily chased by Chelsea last season, though remained with Everton and is now reportedly a major target for the former Barcelona boss.

Alongside those two, the 45-year old is also understood to want two new full-backs, a central midfielder and fast winger apiece, while also looking to draft in another goalkeeper and a backup striker.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was heavily tipped to have already agreed a deal to join from the Blaugrana, though those particular reports have since been somewhat quelled.
