Inter lead the way for Colombian starlet

Here at the Football Transfer Tavern we love a good rumour more than anything else and Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed that Juan Fernando Quintero fancies a move to Inter Milan – not Manchester.

The 19-year-old is currently plying his trade in Serie A at Pescara and has been very impressive thus far. With an 8 million euro price tag on his head, it means that the youngster is not out of the price range of any of the top clubs who may be interested in signing him.

Unlike Radamel Falcao who has seemingly declared his love for every European outfit willing to pay over £100,000-a-week for his services, his Colombian international compatriot claimed: “I like Inter better because it has many South Americans. And in Italy I’m happy.” With Inter also strongly considering a bid for the player, this looks like one transfer that may just well come to fruition.

However, like all good potential moves at this time of year the player has also left the door open for a move elsewhere, noting: “I think big; Manchester, Milan, Juventus … I will decide with my family and Calleri, my agent.”

Where do you think the Colombian will end up? Vote in our polls below.
