Manchester City are keeping close tabs on league-leaders Liverpool as the second half of the season is well underway.
Pep Guardiola is not used to failure and with the squad that he has, Liverpool will be feeling immense pressure to keep up the high levels of performances they have been showing.
Man City are proven league winners and each and every player has the installed mentality of how to win a game of football.
As well as playing luscious football, Man City are equipped with some of the best young talents in football, a tradition they should try and keep up.
However, Manchester City will find the left-back position as one they should improve upon with Mendy the only recognised man in that role.
It may be a risk but 18-year-old Juan Miranda could be a great option for Man City should they decide to conjure up a deal.
Miranda, (who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a young star in the making and Barcelona will want to tread carefully with the youngster, ensuring not to expose him too soon.
The 18-year-old played the full ninety minutes against Tottenham in the Champions League and would have been impressive to watch from a Man City perspective.
Seeing as Benjamin Mendy is again injured and Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko aren’t overly equipped in that position, the Citizens could do a lot worse than to sign Barcelona’s hot talent.
Miranda has played four times for the Barcelona first team but even he will realise that with a move to City, he would be exposed to first-team football a lot quicker than he would do in Spain.
If this move goes through, we could be looking at one of the worlds best left-backs in a few years time.
