Domestic treble winners. Now that really is some achievement no matter how much money is being pumped into the club.

Every single Manchester City player really deserves a standing ovation for what they contributed this season, especially the ones that continually popped up at crucial times.

Leroy Sane is one of those players, who was a match-winner for the Cityzens on more than one occasion, something that makes it even more surprising to see him now linked with a move away.

Although speculation now seems to have quietened down somewhat after the Daily Record reported on May 14th that Bayern Munich were keen, the fact that Karl Heinz Rummenigge recently stoked the fire by suggesting he could make a move (as per the Sun) would suggest this story has got a while to run.

Well, Manchester City shouldn't even be entertaining offers for the German, knowing full well the quality he brings to the side every game. Yes, TEAMtalk did report back in April that the former Schalke ace was frustrated but, come on, this is one of the best teams in the world. No one has a guaranteed starting spot - even Sergio Aguero was benched in the FA Cup final - so perhaps they should be doing all they can to make sure he feels empowered.

It wasn't exactly by luck or a fluke that Sane accumulated 16 goals and 18 assists in all competitions this season -- no one can deny his exceptional quality. Granted, there have apparently been issues behind the scenes after the club's pre-season tour (as per the Manchester Evening News in September 2018) but this clearly is one of Europe's top talents.

Even with the endless money pit City seem to have, it would be terrifically hard to find an adequate replacement for the former Schalke man and any approach from Bayern Munich should not be considered.

Despite having not always been the first name on Pep Guardiola's team sheet this term, he is still one hugely important player.

In Sane, (who is valued at £90 million on Transfermarkt) Manchester City currently have one of the world's most promising youngsters. It is easy to forget that the Germany international is still only 23-years-old and it would be a travesty for Man City to lose him as he begins to enter his prime years in the game.
