Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have had a lot to get excited about this summer, with a new manager heralding a new era at the Etihad, where Pep goes big transfers usually follow.
According to reports from Spanish publication, AS (via Sport Witness) Man City boss, Pep Guardiola, is considering a move for French brothers, Lucas and Theo Hernandez and is prepared to meet the Athletico pair’s release clauses.
The duo have reportedly turned heads across Europe with Barcelona and Juventus interested in Theo, 18, and Lucas, 20, respectively.
Althetico are reportedly keen to keep hold of their defensive siblings, however with Lucas reportedly having a release clause of €25m and Theo €6m, they would be powerless to stop the Sky Blues should the brothers want to leave in the case of a bid.
As Sport Witness report, the Champions League finalists are looking to sit down with the players and increase the release clauses in their contracts in an effort to deter potential suitors.
