Manchester City supporters in the Transfer Tavern have been looking back at their side’s remarkable season so far, with their team well-placed to achieve huge success both domestically and in Europe come the end of the campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s men have all but sealed the Premier League title given they are 16 points clear of nearest rivals Manchester United with just 11 matches to go, while the Citizens face Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday hoping to kickstart their quest for an unprecedented quadruple. Add in their participation in the fifth round of the FA Cup this evening against Wigan Athletic, alongside all but booking their spot in the last eight of the Champions League with a 4-0 success at Basel last week, and things are looking very good indeed for our resident City fans ahead of the final few months of the campaign.
Consequently, there are many happy Citizens supporters in the Tavern at present, several of whom are daring to dream about what their team may go on to achieve between now and the end of the season.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident City fans to discuss, not least recent reports suggesting that a swap deal involving striker Sergio Aguero and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard could take place in the summer.
29-year-old Aguero has been in scintillating form for the Citizens this term in netting 29 goals in just 33 games in all competitions, while Belgium international Hazard has enjoyed a decent campaign himself in bagging 15 goals for Antonio Conte’s Blues.
And City forward Aguero could reportedly be used in a possible deal to bring the 27-year-old to the Etihad Stadium this summer, yet it’s fair to say that several Citizens fans are firmly against the move, if responses on Twitter are anything to go by…
I’d have Aguero over Hazard any day

No way? Keep @aguerosergiokun of course

No way. Only Suarez has the potential to replace Aguero… and at his age, I’d just stick with the boss man.
