Man City won’t rush into striker transfer deal, talks set to begin in coming weeks

Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a wealth of changes to be made by Pep Guardiola this summer, which could see a number of talents leave the Etihad Stadium.

With the forward ranks of the side well-stocked, fans have been debating what will happen to some of the younger strikers at the club – especially as the Citizens already boast Kelechi Iheanacho and Gabriel Jesus amongst their squad.

It seems Italian outfit Lazio are keen to use this to their advantage, as The Sun states the Serie A side are interested in bringing 19-year-old forward Enes Unal to the club next season.

Turkish international Unal is seen as a star for the future by Pep Guardiola and he’s impressed on-loan with Dutch side FC Twente this season, scoring 17 goals so far, and the Citizens are ready to send him out on-loan again next season.

A source confirmed Lazio’s interest, adding that City won’t rush to a decision but talks will be held in the coming weeks.

“Lazio have been sniffing around. They want to take him on a loan deal for the season as he has shone this year. He’s scoring every week in Holland. Lazio have sent scouts to watch him and talks are set to begin over the coming weeks.”

“City are in no rush to decide where he is going. Pep is willing to take him on the summer tour of the United States before making his mind up.”

Our landlord believes another stint on-loan is the right move for Unal, as he feels he won’t get the first-team football he needs at City.

Will Unal be a Manchester City star in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
