Man City would retain the PL title next season if they landed £67.5m-rated ace this summer

Manchester City supporters have been in fine voice throughout the 2017/18 campaign such has been their side’s unbelievable season to date, a season which could well result in a historic treble come the summer.

Pep Guardiola’s men picked up their first trophy under the Spaniard by easing past Arsenal 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley back in February, in turn clinching their fifth League Cup crown in their history, and third in the last five years. The Premier League is also all but won what with Citizens 16 points clear at the summit with seven matches to go, while they are very much in the hunt for the Champions League as well having progressed serenely into the quarter-finals, although Liverpool stand in their way of a second semi-final spot in three years.

Thus, there have been many thrilled and buoyant Citizens supporters in the Tavern for much of the season so far, several of whom are hoping their side can maintain their incredible form this term, and indeed go on and win both the Premier League and the Champions League come the end of the season.

In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident City fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports linking their club with a mega money move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

And were the £67.5 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt) to indeed make the move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, there would surely be no stopping City from clinching back-to-back Premier League titles next season.

Ultimately, the 25-year-old may not have played as much as he would have liked in the last few seasons, but when he has, he has often made an impact with seven goals and seven assists for Zinedine Zidane’s men this term, adding to the 11 goals and ten assists he managed for the European champions last season.

And in a side that are arguably playing the finest football ever seen in the Premier League, the Spain international would be in his element alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva – defending against those three playmakers would be nigh-on impossible.

And with Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Leroy Sane playing in front, Isco’s goal and assist tally would only multiply were he to make the move to the Etihad.

Getting Isco, De Bruyne, and Silva into the same side isn’t going to be easy, but this is the same City side that have managed to balance sensational attacking play with defensive resilience this term, with Fernandinho offering Guardiola the pivot in the middle of the park.

And with all these quality players around him, just like throughout his time at Real, Isco would be devastating – remarkably, City would be an even greater attacking threat than they already are now were the 25-year-old to make the move in the summer.

And with sides struggling to contain and get near them this time round, landing Isco this summer would only add to their air of invincibility, and as such would put them well on the road to retaining the Premier League title next term.
