Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting to see big things on the transfer market from their side this summer, after what has been a transitional first season for Pep Guardiola.
The Citizens failed to mount a genuine title challenge and also fell short in both domestic cup competitions, as well as in the Champions League, leaving the club will plenty of work to do in the close season.
Fortunately, money is not an issue for Guardiola’s side this summer and huge marquee deals could be made, with The Daily Mirror stating the club’s players are confident deals for North London pair Alexis Sanchez and Kyle Walker are done.
Spurs ace Walker is City’s top-target defensively and Alexis is seen as the ideal boost to their attacking lines- and City are prepared to pay a mouthwatering £100m to get deals for the pair done.
However, our landlord believes a deal for Alexis could be more complicated as Bayern Munich may well be involved, but he’s admitted he can’t see any way Walker won’t move to the Citizens this summer.
