Raheem Sterling has continued his excellent form for Manchester City into the international weekend, having scored for England in their 4-0 win over Bulgaria in Euro 2020 qualifying on Saturday.
His club alluded to the forward’s impressive performances of late with a tweet containing a flame emoji possibly suggesting their belief that the player is ‘on fire’ for club and country. [via @Man City on Twitter]

Sterling netted his ninth senior international goal at Wembley last weekend, seven of which have come in the last 12 months. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
The Guardian writer Paul McInnes was wholesome in his praise of the 24-year-old’s performance against Bulgaria, saying that he was “playing at a different level from pretty much everyone else on the pitch“, while Sky Sports‘ Nick Wright felt that he was “a catalyst for almost every attack” that England mounted.
Sterling has now scored seven goals at club and international level since the beginning of August, with five to his name already in the Premier League after only four matches.
