According to a report from Mundo Deportivo via City Xtra, Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte in the coming months – with supporters since coming out to slate the ‘rubbish‘ claim.
Laporte, who was a key figure during City’s 2018/2019 domestic treble-winning season, partnering former club captain Vincent Kompany during the latter stages of the season, has been unable to feature often for Pep Guardiola this campaign due to injury troubles. As a result, the former Bayern Munich boss has had to adapt and play Fernandinho in a centre-back role – potentially suffering from Laporte’s lack of influential presence on the sidelines.
The Frenchman started 34 league games for City over 2018/2019, amassing an impressive 92.3% pass success rate (WhoScored). Now, with Barcelona reportedly intrigued in a bid for the player, plenty of Sky Blues supporters have been lambasting the links – with one supporter asking ‘can they take Stones instead?’.
Could any club pay City enough to sell Laporte?

Consider away Barca you’re not having him. Unless you have 350 million spare.
