According to a report from Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Manchester City ‘want‘ Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic as the Bosnian potentially nears the end of his time in Serie A – with many City fans going on to slam the update.
Pjanic, who has started 20 Serie A games for Juventus this campaign, is currently linked with a move away from Turin at the end of this season despite Maurizio Sarri’s seeming reliance on the midfield man.
Indeed, regardless of his fairly consistent playing time, Corriere dello Sport have stated that Pjanic could be on the way out – with a move to the Premier League beckoning coupled with an estimated market value of £58.5 million (Transfermarkt).
The 29-year-old has registered an 89.8% pass success rate this season, even higher than City star Kevin De Bruyne’s 81.7%, even if the Juve man hasn’t quite managed to equal the Belgian’s key passes per game ratio (3.7), as per WhoScored.com.
Regardless, some Sky Blues fans aren’t particularly impressed with the link – citing the fact he is too ‘old‘. Find all of their best comments down below.
