Speaking in his pre-Atalanta press conference [18:45], when asked on a potential move to Italy in future, Pep Guardiola said he was happy in Manchester.
Ahead of City’s crunch Champions League clash away to Atalanta just before their most important game of the season at Anfield this weekend, Guardiola put rumours to bed for now over potentially managing in Serie A one day.
The Spaniard has guided City to seven trophies in just three seasons at the Etihad, including back to back Premier League titles, two Community Shields, two League Cups and an FA Cup triumph – prompting supporters to beg that he stays at the Etihad.
In response to Guardiola’s pre-match comments stating he is ‘happy in Manchester’, fans understandably were in raptures over the comments that their most unstoppable boss looks unlikely to be leaving for now.
Here’s how fans responded to the re-assuring quote on Twitter, taking to social media in plenty of celebration.
