Manchester City: Fans emotional over latest David Silva transfer link as Valencia interest heightens

According to a report from Spanish outlet FICHAJES.NET, Manchester City midfielder David Silva could make an emotional return to Valencia when his contract expires at the end of the season – with many Sky Blues reacting to the update.
Silva, who has played 424 games in total for the Sky Blues, scoring 74 goals and assisting 137 others over a career spanning nearly a decade (Transfermarkt), is set to leave the Etihad at the conclusion of this campaign – with a return to previous club Valencia on the cards.
The La Liga outfit are interested in bringing the playmaker back to Spain as Silva reaches the twilight stage of his career, with Valencia reportedly set on landing their ‘dream‘ target. As a result, many Citizens have been in full voice over the link – falling into nostalgia over a key player during their side’s period of sustained domestic success. One fan claimed ‘we’ll miss him‘ whilst another begged him not to go.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
We’ll miss him
