Reacting to club footage of Martin Demichelis’ tap-in against Fulham back in 2014, many Manchester City supporters have lauded the Argentine – with one fan jokingly suggesting he was ‘robbed of the Puskas award‘.
Demichelis, who made 106 appearances for the Sky Blues over a three-year stay at Eastlands (Transfermarkt), was signed by Manuel Pellegrini as much needed defensive back-up due to the consistently rotating backline of Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott and Matija Nastasic at the time.
During the back-end of the 2013/2014 season, Demichelis was favoured by Pellegrini alongside Kompany as City claimed their second Premier League title – but supporters have since lauded the Argentine for a reminder of his tap-in goal against Fulham at the Etihad. Yaya Toure’s hat-trick, a Fernandinho strike and Demichelis’ goal sealed a resounding 5-0 win, with the ex-Bayern Munich defender tapping home the easiest strike he’s ever likely scored.
As a result of the footage, many supporters have been in full discussion over their ex-defender – find all of their best comments down below.

Huh? That’s a screamer? Disrespecting Martin by labeling this as a “tap in”…
