Despite Pep Guardiola seemingly ruling out any transfer moves in the upcoming winter window, that hasn’t stopped supporters from drawing up a wishlist ahead of an uphill title challenge with Liverpool.
Manchester City’s last outing was an evening to remember after a turbulent month, steaming past Burnley 4-1 at Turf Moor courtesy of goals from Gabriel Jesus (2), Rodri and Riyad Mahrez – but the current Premier League champions are still 11 points behind Liverpool heading into a busy festive period.
Are Man City making a mistake not signing a defender?
Liverpool steamrolled past Everton on Wednesday evening in a Merseyside derby to remember for the Reds, reigning victorious 5-2 on the night, making City’s title challenge look even more difficult.
However, given the January window is on the horizon, Guardiola’s side have an opportunity to strengthen and gain some much-needed strength, with some fans highlighting possible targets in Kalidou Koulibaly and Jadon Sancho.
Here’s who they outlined in their transfer wishlist on social media.
Sell Sane (probably going anyway), Gundogan and Bravo
Bring in Sancho, Haaland, and Lenglet/Kimpembe
Keep Otamendi for depth in CB

David Silva is going at the end of the season and Sane will most likely leave, don’t want them to go though.
3. Ziyech / Sancho
Anyone wanting Gundogan to leave needs to have a word with themselves.
